Harrison, MI  February 7, 2018 – Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) hosts its ninth annual Rust Shaker mountain bike race on Saturday, April 28 on the Harrison Campus. The race features divisions for every ability level. The trail takes participants through wooded and hilly sections, long and gentle climbs, several areas wide enough for passing, and areas of steep, rough terrain.

Registration is available now via BikeReg at www.bikereg.com/mmcc-rust-shaker. Register now through April 25 for discounted pricing. Day of registrations are accepted using cash or check only.

On race day, registration is open 8am-10am followed by a racers meeting at the start line with wave starts for all divisions kicking off at 10:30am. Lunch, giveaways and awards will follow at 12:30pm. Lunch is included for all racers and non-racers can partake by making a small donation.

Nearly 170 riders participated in the 2017 Rust Shaker, and the College anticipates another excellent turnout. Proceeds benefit student scholarships and trail maintenance.
