Mt. Pleasant, MI - The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a Royal Flush with the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort as the new Title Sponsor for the 2012 Le Tour de Mont Pleasant.

One of the largest professional bicycle races in Michigan, Le Tour de Mont Pleasant, just won big with the announcement of Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort as the Title Sponsor for the 2012 racing season.
Bicycle racers from around the Midwest descending on Mt. Pleasant the weekend of June 8^th, 9^th and 10^th will see a change in title sponsorship in the fourth year of the race. The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort “see this partnership with the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce as natural fit for a business based event and complementary to the theme of winning,” states Raul Venegas, Director of Marketing and Entertainment for the Soaring Eagle.  The Four Diamond Casino and Resort hosts over 520 rooms in addition to over 70 gaming tables with a wide variety of gaming venues, along with premiere dining facilities, top notch entertainment and convention and meeting space.

“Your hot streak awaits” will bring new meaning to professional bicycle racers who come to Mt. Pleasant for a Time Trial on the 8th, the Downtown Criterium on the 9th and the longest point-to-point race in the Midwest winding through Isabella County on June 10th.  “We are thrilled to partner with the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort” states Lisa Hadden, President & CEO of the Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. “We expect to come close to a thousand race registrations this year and the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort will assure we have a quality event for our racers.”

Le Tour de Mont Pleasant is the signature event of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce and has steadily grown to a place of prominence with the racing community the last three years due to the highly organized event, the strong support of USA Cycling, the economic impact it provides and the community engagement.  “It’s a winner,” claims Frank Cloutier, Public Relations Director for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and board member of the Mt. Pleasant Chamber. Mr. Cloutier made the announcement recently to the Board of Directors of the Mt.
