April 19, 2018
Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) will host its eighth annual Rust Shaker mountain bike race on Saturday, April 28 on the Harrison Campus. The race features divisions for every ability level. The trail takes participants through wooded and hilly sections, long and gentle climbs, several areas wide enough for passing and areas of steep, rough terrain.

Registration is available online via BikeReg at www.bikereg.com/mmcc-rust-shaker. Register now through April 26 for discounted pricing. Day of registrations will be accepted using cash or check only.

On race day, registration will be available from 8 am -10 am followed by a racers meeting at the start line with wave starts for all divisions kicking off at 10:30 am. Lunch, giveaways and awards will follow at 12:30 pm. Lunch is included for all racers and non-racers can partake by making a small donation.

Nearly 170 riders participated in the 2017 Rust Shaker, and the College anticipates that this year will yield another excellent turnout. Proceeds will go toward MMCC student scholarships and the trail maintenance fund.
