Directional Drilling Team Member
Location: Mount Pleasant MI Positions 2: Directional Drilling Team Member Type: Permanent Full-time Hours: 7AM – 4PM, Monday - Friday Comprehensive benefit package including 401K retirement plan, health, dental and optical insurance, long-term disability coverage, and paid time off.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Directional Drilling Team member is responsible for the installation of Fiber Optic Cable in and around Mt. Pleasant Michigan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on horizontal direction drilling projects.
- Locate utilities and eliminate potential hazards.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment based on job requirements including locating utilities.
- Pull back fiber and conduits.
- Installation of vaults and pedestals
- Assist with drilling fluid mixing and clean-up.
- Assist with jobsite clean-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
- Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer relationship skills.
- Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Possesses a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in underground utility installation is preferred.
