Free Virtual Program on Movement, Nutrition After Cancer Treatment

Staying active and eating well are essential for recovery and long-term health after cancer treatment. Regular movement helps rebuild strength, reduce fatigue and boost mood, while good nutrition supports healing, enhances energy and strengthens the immune system. Together, they can lower the risk of recurrence, prevent other health issues and improve overall quality of life.

Join MyMichigan Health on Monday, June 16, from noon to 1 p.m., to learn practical tips and expert advice on how to take charge of your wellness after cancer. Speakers are Oncologic Physical Therapist Jennifer Root, P.T., D.P.T., C.L.T.-L.A.N.A., and Registered Dietitian Anna Most, M.S., R.D.N.

Topics include safe and effective activities and exercises to help improve fatigue, weakness, limited range of motion and balance issues. In addition, attendees will learn when it may be beneficial to seek guidance from a rehabilitation professional, as well as dietary recommendations for life after cancer treatment, including which foods to enjoy more often and which to limit in order to support long-term health and wellness. There will be a question and answer time following the presentations.
