Employees recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of MyMichigan Health Park Harrison serving the community. The 24,000 square-foot facility at 815 N. Clare Ave., opened in October 2014 and provides laboratory services, physical therapy, primary care and most recently, added walk-in care services. The facility is also home to Central Michigan District Health Department and Michigan Community Dental Clinics, all providing services for neighbors in Harrison and surrounding communities.
“Ten years has gone by quickly and, in that time, MyMichigan Health Park Harrison has established itself as successful in our ability to be a confident choice for primary and acute patient care. In fact, in the old building, we had approximately 2,500 empaneled primary care patients. Today, we have more than 4,000 and are still accepting new patients,” said Trish Reilly who has served as the Health Park manager since its opening. “Our team is honored to provide greater access to preventative medical care, more local options for health care providers and specialists, and convenient access to outpatient services for our community. With our proximity to MyMichigan Medical Centers Clare, Gladwin and Mt. Pleasant, additional services are readily available if an emergency or specialized service are needed. We look forward to the next 10 years and beyond.”
Phani Deepthi Vadlamudi, M.D., medical director, MyMichigan Health Park Harrison, along with Reilly have worked collaboratively for more than 11 years to build a primary care clinic focused on preventative care with quality as the main driver to achieve the highest health outcomes for patients.
“We are a PCMH (Patient Centered Medical Home) clinic that understands the importance of preventative medicine and the goals of identifying underlying chronic conditions that may require ongoing care for the patient,” said Reilly. “With the assistance of our care team, including Kathryn Tasson, P.A.-C., Jamie Walderzak, P.A.-C., and Christopher deCastro, D.O., along with the acute care team of Catherine Balanda, F.N.P. and Mariah Moore, F.N.P., our Harrison family here is working on turning episodic acute care into long-term and goal-orientated primary care relationships with patients.”
