MORE Doctors Welcoming Patients in Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – A team of eight providers in family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics are welcoming new patients of all ages to their practice at MidMichigan Medical Center – Mt. Pleasant.  The Medical Center is located at 4851 E. Pickard Street (M-20) near I-127.
 
“We’ve been innovating with technology to make it fast and easy for our patients to communicate with us,” said Internal Medicine Physician, Utibe Effiong, M.D., M.P.H. “For example, we’ve redesigned our scheduling system to allow for easy access and our goal is to get new patients in for their first appointment within 2 weeks. We also have some providers who are offering expanded hours, before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m. Patients can now book their return office visits online, and our 24/7 lab also accepts online appointments, which enables patients to choose a convenient time and minimize their wait. These are just a few of the ways we are responding to patient feedback that they want convenient options for medical care.”
 
In addition to online scheduling, MidMichigan’s patient portal, MyMidMichigan, enables patients to electronically check test results, view and pay bills, get appointment reminders, securely message their doctor’s office and view and share their medical records. And for patient convenience, we offer 24/7 x-ray services.
