MyMichigan Health is accepting applications for its Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs). The Councils bring together patients, family members, health care professionals and staff to advise on MyMichigan Health’s policies, procedures and practices to improve the overall patient and family experience and identify opportunities for improvement.
“We value and strive for diversity in our Patient and Family Advisory Council membership and are seeking members who can provide their perspectives, opinions, and experiences in health care,” explains Michelle Brady, chief experience officer, MyMichigan Health.
PFAC members will be asked to voice opinions, come to meetings with an open mind and positive approach, partner with those who have differing backgrounds and experiences from their own, and represent the voices of patients and their families to support MyMichigan Health’s commitment to provide excellent care and service in the communities it serves. Prospective PFAC members should complete an application to express their interest. Selected applicants will be asked to serve on a PFAC for a minimum of one year and should expect to attend council meetings four to six times per year.
