The MyMichigan Access Center can be reached by calling (989) 633-5252 for scheduling assistance with imaging, sleep studies, respiratory services, hospital follow-up appointments, and continuing care clinic appointments.

MyMichigan Health is committed to improving the ease of scheduling for patients across its health system. The introduction of the MyMichigan Access Center (MAC) marks a significant step forward in simplifying the scheduling process for MyMichigan providers and services.

The initial phase of this initiative involves consolidating several existing scheduling phone lines, such as Central Scheduling, Health Line, into a single, streamlined access point. As of July 1, Central Scheduling, Health Line, and Sleep and Respiratory scheduling teams have unified to form the MAC. Patients can now conveniently call (989) 633-5252 for scheduling assistance with imaging, sleep studies, respiratory services, hospital follow-up appointments, and continuing care clinic appointments.

Looking ahead, the MAC is set to include additional services. Starting September 1, MAC will handle scheduling for Rehabilitation Services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Cardiopulmonary Rehab. Throughout fiscal year 2026, MAC will further expand to include Lab, Infusion, Anticoagulation, Cardiovascular, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Primary Care appointments. Other services under consideration for future inclusion are additional clinical service lines, Nurse Triage, Medication Refills, and the Transfer Center.

“This initiative aligns with our vision to be the trusted gateway to exceptional care, ensuring every patient experiences seamless, compassionate, and timely access to the right health care services,” said Marissa Kucera, Director of the MyMichigan Access Center. "That means offering several convenient ways for patients to schedule appointments. Patients will still have the option to work directly with their providers’ offices, and in many cases, they can self-schedule through MyChart. However, the MAC offers one phone number that patients can easily remember and call to get directed to the care they need.”

Kucera also highlighted that the MyMichigan Access Center will leverage a blend of artificial intelligence and human expertise to efficiently identify patient needs and connect them with the appropriate assistance. By optimizing scheduling templates and decision trees, the majority of routine scheduling tasks can be managed by the MAC or through self-scheduling, allowing healthcare providers and clinical experts to concentrate on direct patient care and other clinical responsibilities.
