Job Description
The Integration Developer is part of a development team responsible for integrating enterprise-grade systems including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Student Information Systems (SIS), custom developed applications and CMU’s database infrastructure. In addition to integration design, development, and deployment, this role will be expected to use enterprise integration best practices and modern integration techniques to help CMU modernize its integration infrastructure.
Required Qualifications Integration Developer I:
Associates degree or equivalent work experience in Software Engineering, Data Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
Integration experience.
Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
An understanding of Relational Databases (i.e. MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
An understanding of basic integration techniques and technologies (i.e. Boomi, Integration Services (SSIS) Packages, etc.).
Integration Developer II:
Meets all requirements of of level I and;
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Data Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
Two years of software development experience.
Experience with Relational Databases (i.e. MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
Experience with integration techniques and technologies (i.e. Boomi, Integration Services (SSIS) Packages, etc.).
An understanding of Web API technologies (i.e. EAIESBSOAREST, OData, JSONXMLSOAP).
An understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Solutions.
Experience participating in Code Reviews.
Integration Developer III:
Meets all requirements for level II and;
Five years of software development experience.
Experience with Web API technologies (i.e. EAIESBSOAREST, OData, JSONXMLSOAP).
An understanding of Cloud technologies and how to integrate them.
Experience writing technical documentation.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Solutions.
Integration Developer Sr.:
Meets all requirements of level III and;
Eight years of software development experience.
Experience with Cloud technologies and how to integrate them.
Experience with Coach and mentoring peers.
Ability to perform essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications Integration Developer I: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Data Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field. Two years of software development experience. Experience with Relational Databases (i.e. MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.). Experience with Boomi iPaaS. Experience with Integration Services (SSIS) Packages. Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Reporting Services. An understanding of Agile Development methodologies. An understanding of Waterfall development methodologies. An understanding of the ITIL framework. Integration Developer II: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Data Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field. Four years of software development experience. Experience with Agile Development methodologies. Experience with the ITIL framework. Experience with Web API technologies (i.e. EAIESBSOAREST, OData, JSONXMLSOAP). Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Solutions. Experience participating in solution/code reviews, sprint meetings and retrospectives. Experience integrating with an ERP system. Experiencing integrating with a CRM solution (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.). Integration Developer III:
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Data Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
Eight years of software development experience.
Experience with Azure Logic Apps.
Experience with Azure API Management.
Experience with Waterfall development methodologies.
Experience integrating with SAP ECC 6.
Experience interacting with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Experience with IT vendor management.
Integration Developer Sr.:
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Data Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
Ten years of software development experience.
Experience with Integration Services (SSIS) Packages
Experience leading solution/code reviews, sprint meetings and retrospectives
Experience integrating with SAP ECC 6
Experience interacting with SAP’s SLCM module
Experience interacting with Microsoft Office 365, ADFS and Dynamics CRM
Duties & Responsibilities Integration Developer I:
Creates well designed, testable, maintainable, and efficient solutions using CMU’s integration platform(s).
Contributes to, developing, and maintaining technical documentation.
Participates in all facets of the software development life cycle (from the initial concept to the final release).
Responsible for integration activities related to new integration development and the maintenance of existing integrations.
Participates in solution/code reviews, sprint meetings and retrospectives.
Participates in daily stand-up meetings.
Ensures integration solution follows industry best practices and CMU’s Integration patterns.
Understands basic reporting techniques and technologies (i.e. Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Reporting Services, SAP BEx, etc.).
Other duties as assigned.
Integration Developer II:
Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Integration Developer I and;
Evaluates new technologies, development techniques and tools.
Participates in integration architecture decisions, and to provide technical guidance to the project teams.
Responsible for managing integration scope of work for projects across business areas and govern compliance to CMU’s integration design principles,
development standards, security, change management processes.
Responsible for day-to-day operational activities ensuring integration and middleware platforms are adequately monitored and incidents are resolved within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
Provides guidance to support vendors on end-to-end integration monitoring, performance monitoring & alert set up for integration platforms.
Actively monitors upcoming changes and ensure the stability of the production environments by closely reviewing and addressing any potential risk with changes.
Coaches and mentors students.
Integration Developer III:
Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Integration Developer II and;
Leads solution/code reviews, sprint meetings and retrospectives.
Leads daily stand-up meetings.
Leads continuous improvement activities by reducing non-standard integrations.
Integration Developer Sr.:
Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Integration Developer III and:
Leads solution/code reviews, sprint meetings and retrospectives.
Ensures integration solution follows industry best practices and CMU’s Integration patterns.
Supervision Exercised None.
